Physical Therapist, or Skilled Massage Therapist

Position Title: Digestive Health Therapist

Status: Employee, Part Time

Hours: 10-20 hours per week

Location: Ann Arbor, MI

Compensation: $40-50/hr, varied by skill level

$25-50k/year, depending on hours

Position Summary Description: Provide manual therapy care to clients under team collaboration and a work environment of curiosity, education, and excellence.

Qualifications

  1. PT, MPT, MSPT, or DPT Degree and License

  2. Pelvic Floor specialty optional

  3. Extensive knowledge of digestive system and nervous system anatomy, physiology, and pathology

  4. Preferred CST courses: CS1, CS2, and SER1 of CranioSacral Therapy from the Upledger Institute

  5. Preferred VM courses: VM1, VM2, VM3 of Visceral Manipulation from the Barral Institute

  6. Desire to continue education in CranioSacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation

  7. Desire for excellence in patient care, team collaboration, and personal growth

Essential Functions

  1. Provide 60 minute sessions with clients

  2. Attend biweekly staff trainings

  3. Communicate quickly, clearly, and completely with clients and other staff

  4. Listen to clients and compassionate apply creative solutions to problems

  5. Continue to develop palpation skills to detect with skill the structures of the abdomen and craniosacral system
